Your design knitted into the sock itself, edge to edge.
Merchwell knits company designs into socks rather than printing on them, from $9.57 per piece, with production typically running two weeks after you approve the mockup. The artwork is built from colored yarn across the whole sock, so it cannot crack, peel or wash off, and these are knitted in the USA.
A printed sock is a plain sock with ink on it. It cracks along the stretch lines within a few washes, which is exactly where a sock flexes most, and it feels stiff under a foot.
A knitted sock is made from your colors. The design is the fabric, so it stretches with the sock, it cannot wear off, and the back of the sock looks as deliberate as the front.
The cost difference is smaller than people expect, and the difference in how long the sock survives is not close.
You get the whole sock, not a logo patch. A repeating pattern, a color block, a band at the cuff and a mark at the ankle are all in play, and the strongest designs use the shape rather than centering a logo on it.
Knitting has a resolution limit. Thin lines, small text and gradients do not survive in yarn, so a bold, simplified version of your mark reads far better than the exact file.
Colors come from a yarn palette rather than an ink formula, so we match to the closest available and show it on the mockup before anything is knitted.
Knitted. The design is made from colored yarn in the sock itself, so it cannot crack or wash off the way a printed design does.
Socks here start at $9.57 per piece and drop at volume, with the knitted design included rather than charged as decoration.
To the closest yarn in the palette. Yarn is not ink, so we show you the match on the mockup before knitting rather than guessing after.
Bold shapes, repeating patterns and simplified marks. Thin lines, small text and gradients disappear in yarn.
